Prototypes designed around what you need
Tell me the problem. I design the solution, make the prototype and adjust it until it fits.
Who I build prototypes for
Each project starts from a different need.
Inventors and entrepreneurs
You have an idea and need something you can hold, test and show.
Startups and small businesses
You are developing, testing or presenting a product and need a prototype to do it.
Replacement and custom parts
A part broke, is no longer sold, or has to fit something that already exists.
People without a 3D model
You have a sketch, photos or measurements and no file yet. I model it first.
What you can bring
Start from whatever you have.
- A description of the need or the problem
- A sketch or a drawing
- Photos and measurements of an object or a space
- A part that broke or is no longer sold
- A 3D model of your own that needs to be corrected
How a prototype project runs
Brief
Tell me what you need. A sketch, a photo or measurements help, and a description is enough to start.
Model
I build the 3D model and confirm the key dimensions with you.
Review
For larger jobs you see renders or a test piece first, and we adjust.
Prototype and deliver
I make the prototype or the part and check it against the design. You receive it, plus the files agreed in the scope.
What you receive
The deliverables depend on the job.
A prototype or printed part
Made and checked against the design.
3D model files
Models ready to share, review and reuse.
Editable source file
Provided according to the agreed scope.
Renders
Realistic images, when the job needs them.
The exact deliverables and file formats are agreed before work begins. You keep control of your own project and receive the files defined in the scope.
Time and price
Typical timing
- Printing from a ready-to-print file: 3 to 7 days.
- 3D modeling plus printing: 7 to 15 days.
- Several parts or successive adjustments: set after I review the project.
These are estimates. They depend on the complexity of the project and are confirmed in the quote. Shipping time is separate.
How pricing works
- Hourly, $35 per hour: modeling, development, technical adjustments and work whose scope may change.
- Fixed price: a custom quote after I review the requirements, scope and deliverables.
- Service packages: set up for specific services and priced from the requirements and deliverables.
Send a brief and I will tell you which one fits. More in the FAQ.
