3D printing for your own model

Send a model you already have, or let me design the part first. I print one piece or a small run and check it against the design.

Materials and where each one fits

I help choose the material for your application.

Hand holding a 3D-printed architectural model of a house on a floor plan

PLA

A common choice for visual models, display pieces and fit checks, like this architectural model.

Two-color 3D-printed wall bracket with three countersunk holes and triangular ribs

PETG

For tougher parts that hold up to moisture and wear, like wall brackets, covers and containers.

Car engine compartment with a gold heat-wrap sleeve around an air intake pipe and black hoses

ABS

For parts that need more heat resistance, like enclosures, brackets and parts near warm components.

Close-up of a black textured rubber bicycle handle grip next to a brake lever

TPU

For flexible, grippy parts, such as handle grips, gaskets and protective covers.

Parts printed in my workshop

A few prints, from the first model to the finished piece.

Size

The nominal build volume is 200 × 200 × 200 mm (20 × 20 × 20 cm). The practical dimensions can vary with the geometry and the orientation of the part.

Large or heavy part? Send the size and what it has to carry, and I will tell you how it can be made.

Estimated timing

Customer-provided, ready-to-print file3 to 7 days
3D modeling plus printing7 to 15 days
Several parts or successive adjustmentsSet after I review the project

These are estimates. They depend on the complexity of the project and are confirmed in the quote. Production time does not include shipping.

Delivery

Physical parts are shipped, and the shipping method is set during the quote. Local pickup is not offered. Digital files are delivered online.

I work with clients throughout Massachusetts. See the service area.

What to send

Send a file such as STL, 3MF, STEP or OBJ, or a sketch, drawing or photos if there is no model yet. If the part needs to be modeled or adjusted first, I do that before printing.

I quote the job after I see your file and your requirements.

Ready to print a part?
