3D models you can edit and reuse
I turn a sketch, photos or measurements into a 3D model made to fit your part. I can also correct a model you already have.
What I model
From a simple object to a detailed technical part.
- Custom parts and product concepts
- Parts designed to fit an existing object or space
- Replacement parts, measured from the original
- Your own 3D file, corrected and made ready to produce
From the model to the printed part
A part starts as a model on the screen, and the print shows how it turns out.
Editable by design
Models are built parametrically, so a change in size does not mean starting over.
Editable source files are provided according to the scope of the project. For client projects, the goal is that you keep control of your own work and receive the files you need to use it and keep developing it.
Want to see the idea at work? Try the parametric example on the home page.
Tools and files
I model in Blender and Onshape, and I use Tinkercad for quick adjustments to parts.
You can send sketches, drawings, photos and files such as STL, 3MF, STEP or OBJ. The files you receive are defined in the project scope before work begins, in formats such as STL, 3MF, STEP, OBJ or BLEND.
Who it is for
Inventors, startups, small businesses and individuals who need a model and do not have one yet, or who have one that needs to be fixed or adapted.
Time and price
Typical timing
- 3D modeling plus printing: 7 to 15 days.
- Modeling on its own: set when I review the project.
These are estimates, confirmed in the quote.
How it is billed
Modeling and technical adjustments are usually worked by the hour, at $35 per hour, since the scope can change as the design develops. When the scope is clear, I can give a fixed quote for the project.
